Happy Thursday everyone!!! I wanted to take the time today to talk about my CSI, The ABCβs of Acceptance: Fostering Autism Acceptance!!! The goal of my CSI is to educate our communities on what it looks like to live life on the spectrum and to foster acceptance through education!! Throughout my year, I plan to utilize social media as a tool to promote acceptance and I am planning to visit elementary schools throughout the Central Valley to talk about the importance or inclusion and how we can better support students with special needs!!πβΎοΈ
I chose this platform because I saw the need to uplift the voices of those with special needs especially in this community. When I am sharing my CSI online or onstage, I am always carrying with me the experiences I have had as a paraprofessional and I think of nothing but my wonderful students who deserve teachers who stand up and advocate for them even outside the classroom (shout out to my amazing coworkers who do this flawlessly and whom I am so thankful to work alongside)!!!!
I hope this glimpse into my CSI and career helped you all to understand life on the spectrum a little more!!!!πβΎοΈ

It was an honor to be a part of the 105th Annual Central Valley Veterans Parade today! What a blessing it is to be able to honor those who put their lives on the line for the pursuit of freedom. My grandfathers, who served in World War II and the Korean War respectively, are the ones I think of most when honoring our veterans. Thank you to the brave men and women who continue to serve in our armed forces, you are seen and you are deeply appreciated!!!β€οΈπ€π

Some fun facts about me!!!!! (inspired by the beautiful @missfresnocounty π)
1. Iβve been competing in pageants since I was 15 and so far have held 3 titles!!!!
2. I LOVE all things fantasy and you can bet if thereβs a renaissance fair happening in California, I will absolutely be there!! In fact, the Kearney Park Renaissance Faire is happening next weekend here in Fresno!! Donβt miss out!!π§πΌββοΈπ
3. Like I said, I love fantasy so of COURSE I play Dungeons and Dragons!!! In case youβre wondering, Iβm playing as a half-elf Druid named Sondera!!! Sheβs super cool!! Iβm totally not biasedβ¦
4. I love spending time with my friends as well as cooking for them. I share my love for others through food and quality time spent together!! ππ
5. My absolute favorite food is the Valley Veggie pizza from Me-n-Edβs!!! Here I am eating literally a quarter of a whole pizza the night I was crowned Miss Clovisβ¦ya girl was HUNGRY.
6 & 7. Iβve been working as a Paraprofessional for 4 years in Clovis Unified with students on the Autism Spectrum! My experiences with them, their families, and the communities Iβve worked in inspired my CSI; The ABCβs of Acceptance!! It is my goal as an advocate and an educator to help share resources for parents and educate our communities on what life on the spectrum looks like!!βΎοΈπ
8. Here I am with my Dad after harvest this season!!! I grew up working in our familyβs vineyard and I have a great appreciation for the men and women who work diligently tending to our crops every year!!!!
9. When I was crowned, the only thing I could think about was my mom!! She is my biggest cheerleader and the only way Iβm able to compete and do well is because she is in my corner always rooting for me!
10 & 11. I have been singing for as long as I could talk but I have been training classically since I was 12!! I am proud of my vocal journey as it has allowed me to perform on pageant stages and around Fresno singing the National Anthem for different events!!! The picture is from Kiss Countryβs Summer Concert Series & the video is from Miss Clovis!!!!!
I am super excited to tackle this year and get to show our community who I am and what I love!!!!
